For the past six months, we’ve been on an incredible - and at times, challenging - journey... I’m talking about the Recharge Trailblazers Program: Conversational Fluency, a six-month leadership development experience co-hosted by Recharge and The Argonauts, running from 11 October 2024 to 14 March 2025.
Throughout this journey, we’ve been re-discovering ourselves - as leaders, colleagues, friends, and active listeners. And I can truly say, after this experience, nothing feels quite the same...
Recently, while booking a trip to London, one familiar phrase came to mind: “Mind the gap.”
Strangely enough, it echoed the key lessons from the Trailblazers program: "We don’t like gaps in our knowledge, but we tend to fill them with assumptions and prejudices." This insight feels especially true when we navigate difficult conversations or build stories around what’s left unsaid or simply during daily teamwork, conversations with our friends and colleagues.
What a ride! 🏃➡️ 👟

Very good take and incredibly powerful visual example that highlights the purpose of the specific metric(optimize the storage capacity) itself and the solution that contradicts with core functionality of the metric-ised element(in our case tennis ball) 👌🎾🎾

A year ago, I broke my leg in an accident and was unsure if I'd ever be able to surf again. Fast forward to today, and I'm not only back to surfing but also hitting the gym, playing tennis, cycling, hiking and improving every day. Looking back, it wouldn’t have been possible without the support of my family, friends, and loved ones. I’m incredibly grateful for how far I’ve come and for the people who helped me get here!

In my free time, you can catch me in art or architecture museums, but in September, I broke my leg ❤️🩹… 4 hours before the start of my surf vacation.
However this experience has given me an opportunity to reflect on how everything is designed (in terms of accessibility) in the city (Amsterdam), in our everyday lives and identify areas for improvement.

“TV commercials in the late ’70s and ’80s didn’t advertise the practical features of products, they were meant to build strategic corporate images. You might even say they took a musical approach in their visual expression, though perhaps that’s an overstatement” says Shimizu.
An inspiring essential, regardless of your music palate.
